A bit of shameless self promotion all 3 shapes have been refitted and re-released from Lexipedia this week. Dina (far left) now has additional shapes to fit various sizes of mesh including 4 cleavage heights since standard size mesh hasn’t listed buoyancy but it does matter! Eliza (in the middle) and Jessie (far right) both have included shapes to fit most medium mesh and include all 4 cleavage height options. Even with the refitting i have left the original and dress shape versions in for the times when you want to be a bit curvier in an older system outfit. Falling in love is easy to do with hunts like the one going on now at Purple Moon. My previous post showcased the monthly, subscribo and special Halloween gifts from this fabulous store. The group isn’t free but your the one time group join fee of just $50L is made back and then some with the first gift you receive. Another amazing perk of this membership is the fantastic hunts Purple Moon puts on. This month there is a fantastic hunt on. Find 16 little skulls… easily located by walking through each area and looking around. The skulls are clearly visible on the walls, shelves, lamps and floors. Aeva (Formerly Heartsick) brings to us 3 new skin group gifts for the ladies as well. The model far left is sporting Jaci in Beloved as well as Aeva’s Rumor shape. There are 5 tones in each pack ranging from the right most model, wearing Halo in Glitz in it’s palest version to a lovely dark mocha. Group Join is free but you do have to tp to the inworld store to be invited via a sign on the wall. Last but not least my center model is also wearing a new favorite of mine, a $10L marketplace item from Death Row Designs. These rigged mesh boots resemble the original Death Row Designs boot but with a new steampunk flair! For just $10L i’m sure they’ll only be around for a limited… time.

Purple Moon‘s group isn’t free but more than worth the one time group join fee of just $50L. Group Gifts like the Linnda Gown Halloween Edition shown above are a monthly occurrence and already exceed the value spent on the group join fee.  This month there is an additional group gift, the lovely Venice Set Halloween Edition shown above. Perfect for Halloween but versatile enough to dress up any fall outfit. There is also a 16 piece hunt going on to be featured shortly for group members. If you don’t have the cash on hand but would still like to visit Purple Moon be sure to slap the subscribo for the beautiful Dark Couture Mask. This beautiful accent piece is mesh and sits perfectly against the face with no adjustment needed. Paris in Lacrimosa is a perfect touch for Halloween or any goth event and beautiful enough to be an everyday skin for the daring. The picture of health the Enchant shape worn above came with the Lacrimosa skin and highlights every beautiful detail of the skin but could with no – small adjustment work beautifully with any shape.  The previously blogged Gem Skin is still available as are 2 male skin gifts, a ladies gift containing 3 skin AND a Yabusaka Petite2 applier.

I have a love of music and when I’m looking for something to really bring me up and make me smile I slide on some Kpop and Jpop for it’s feel good sound.

While knocking around SL looking for petite friendly locations my SO and I found this fun club and hangout sim. Great dice games (Including Greedy) with some of the most beautiful looks I’ve seen yet surround Club Hallyu. Live Djs spinning Kpop and Jpop 7 days a week from around 2 pm -10 pm SLT Over to the side i found this cute stage still under construction, the builder let me know that they hoped to have Idol style singer performance competitions soon! Not only is this sim worth visiting on it’s on merits but also for an awesome free gift! +DIVERGE+ in the mall surrounding the club has some adorable clothes and footwear including the sweet blue sneakers above. Just join the group and click the board to receive this great shoe and stay tuned this group seems new but with a start like this expect great things!

I LOVE Vocaloids! My favorite by far is Kagamine Rin. I was so excited to slowly build up my cosplay look for homaging her. The outfit was not a free gift but the hair and bunny band that definitively make the look work were. Ala Mode Fantastic Mall has always been a great one to walk around. My Rin Golden hair is a happy Lucky Board find in the center area but don’t stop looking there. The 3 Lucky Boards contain a variety of hairs including one that would make your “Black Rock Shooter” avi well… Rock!  They also feature boots and your first anime style head with blinking eyes.  Hidden elsewhere in the mall is a free mini mesh maid that will have to be featured here soon, and if you join the group for free there is a little purple present out in the open containing 4 sweet skins.

The Sweet Bow completing my Rin is a group gift from Monso, formerly My Sweetest Goodbye. This store is a dangerous one for me and has been since it was My Sweetest Goodbye… I walk in with money and walk out with the store lol. Her prices are very reasonable for the amazing quality she delivers and this mesh bunny band gift in black and in white is no different.  You don’t need to be Rin to pull off this sweet bow but it makes my day to see it on top of her head.

My other Vocaloid for many will need no introduction, she is by far the most recognizable Vocaloid,  Hatsume Miku. Her outfit is a past hunt gift from Sassy! and no longer available. The Hair and Nails that completed her look for me were found at LaLaMoon. I was on the Taste the Rainbow hunt and this store wasn’t on the list BUT i saw a girl wearing this hair and decided to check the store out to see what other great things they had. I landed and immediately found 2 gift hairs, boots and a complete set of glove nails all for free! I prefer the glove nails to prim ones that can float away and off the body.  To the right of this treasure trove i found the lucky boards with the Candy Roid hair i had admired for it’s ability to help me cosplay Miku in both Green and Blue (both come with pigtail ornaments to enhance this effect) and 2 other lucky boards stuffed full of cute hair!

Inset to the right isn’t a Vocaloid but an homage to the JPop Princess Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, her video PonPonPon and her Harajuku Doll look! The Edelweiss Lucky Chairs are not all group join only but the one for this sweet outfit is. The group is free, simply join and camp and you’ll take home a cute “eyepopping” Harajuku dress fit for the Princess of JPop. There are many more free gifts hiding in the store, the underwear you can’t see under Miku’s costume is a striped set from the lucky chairs here, the shoes worn with the PonPonPon look are free as well in the maid section, and a small pack of nicely detailed ribbed knee high socks are also a special free prize to take home. Don’t stop there though this store features low price high quality and looks you won’t find anywhere else in SL. The Lime Twist Devotion skin paired with the apple coloured hair from Truth are a signature look of the model used for this photo but both free gifts add a special touch to this look!

I’ve brought away from these locations a very special lesson… Look around! Everywhere you go and you may just find new favorite places and amazing free gifts even when you weren’t looking for them!

SL Fashion runs the gamut from adult contemporary to pieces of string and pasties but I’ve always believed that leaving a little to the imagination left a lot to the lady.

ZINAS (Zero is Not a Size has 3 gifts up Free to group ($25L group join fee, group members also have their own MM) or $25L per outfit. Including “Picnic” blogged in my post “July is looking Fair” and “Cruella” still up on my flickr page http://www.flickr.com/photos/lexipediasultimateguide/8732786843/in/photostream/ and the newest addition shown above named “Tart”.  The punky belted mini with lace decolletage detail comes with the Lola Tango Applier and would suit any night at the club! Tart shows just enough skin to be saucy and sassy and yet not be scandalous. Also from ZINAS Cat is wearing “Macy” a new shape from ZINAS on sale this weekend for just $25L. Macy is shapely and truely womanly with banging curves, enough to carry off the Lola Tango at it’s out of the box without looking out of proportion. I couldn’t resist a closeup not only of the pretty jewelry but to show off that sweet face!

When going with skin to win it’s best to balance the look with eye catching jewelry a bit above the plunging neckline and what’s true of RL fashion rings true in SL.  Just as I was looking through my Jewelry Box (yes that’s the name of my folder… yes i know i’m a dork…) a notice came through about a new group gift from Lazuri with turquoise accents that set this dress off magnificently! Lazuri makes simply gorgeous jewelry and frequently does fantastic gifts. The new gift, Saffi, includes earrings, a necklace and a bracelet for each wrist so you can wear as you like. Clicking on a creation from Lazuri opens a world of functionality that few designers have to their creations let alone in a gift! With one click you receive a menu to change the metal colour and the stone colour as the glow, brightness, beads and style (Beads, number of stones, spikes…).  Be sure to look around Lazuri not only are there a few more free gifts in the store but with the functionality you will most likely find that signature piece that you wear with everything.

I have to say up front that i am a big fan Bettie Page and vintage pinups. The classy, healthy women showing just enough to titillate without being vulgar are my role models.

This shape from ZINAS (Zero is Not a Size) shows what this store’s name is all about. A beautiful, healthy, seductive and womanly shape Bette is no longer free but is still available on the marketplace for just 10L and sure to speed up your beau’s heartbeat. While you’re there don’t forget to wander there are $25L limited quantity outfits at the front free with a $25L group join, lucky chairs, MM boards and her prices are always reasonable.

The Body Shop : Women’s & Men’s Shapes

At Vignette, also known as In Her Shoes, there are 3 free nice shapes to try on for BOTH genders! Don’t forget to say TY to the creator by leaving a few $L if you can in the tip jar or by saying thank you if you see her around and you cannot give anything monetarily.

I am very partial to Dr Life creations. Join the group and camp the lucky board for skins, shapes hairs and clothing and packets up to 1K in value. While it never specifically shows a shape on the lucky board, all of the skin prizes include one. For an Asian or petite style avi of any race this is probably one of the best places to start.

At LAQ, in the outlet section far back on the left, upstairs is a wall of free gifts including the Liv Portrait Skin and Shape.

Once you have a shape you are happy with it may help to move that into the Body Parts folder for easy locating later. If you would like to change something about your shape make sure you first check permissions, if it says no mod you will not be able to make adjustments.  Before you begin alterations make a copy of the shape and rename the one you wish to work on before wearing it. From here you will be able to mod (or modify) this shape to fit your vision for how your avi should look.  I do suggest slow moderate adjustments at first, until you have some practice. If you are dissatisfied with your progress simply delete the old version, make a fresh copy and start again.
